Hangar 13's prequel to the Mafia series set in early-1900s Sicily, released August 8 2025 on Unreal Engine 5. The Old Country leans into linear narrative pacing and dense period detail — a smaller world than the studio's earlier entries, with proportionally tighter optimisation.
How demanding is Mafia: The Old Country?
The Old Country runs on Unreal Engine 5 with Lumen, plus DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, Intel XeSS 2 and UE5's TSR. Frame Generation is supported across all three vendors. The Sicilian countryside and densely textured period interiors are the main GPU load; the linear structure keeps streaming pressure lighter than open-world UE5 peers.
What GPU do you need for Mafia: The Old Country?
Our estimates suggest the RTX 5070 or Radeon RX 9070 XT comfortably clears 60 FPS at 1080p; the RTX 5070 Ti or RX 9070 XT clears 50 FPS at 1440p. Native 4K above 60 FPS realistically needs an RTX 5090, or DLSS 4 Quality with Multi Frame Generation on an RTX 5080. Spec an EMARQUE flagship for native 4K play.
