Kojima Productions' sequel to Death Stranding, with PC ported by Nixxes and released March 19 2026. It is the first Decima engine title with ray tracing on PC, plus full DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4 and Intel XeSS 2 support — a serious technical upgrade over the original PC port.
How demanding is Death Stranding 2?
Death Stranding 2 runs on a Decima engine build with ray-traced reflections (water, tar) and ray-traced ambient occlusion. PC supports NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4 and Intel XeSS 2 with frame generation across all three vendors. The open landscape and volumetric weather effects dominate GPU load; CPU overhead is well-contained for a port of this scope.
What GPU do you need for Death Stranding 2?
Our estimates put an RTX 5070 or Radeon RX 9070 XT comfortably above 100 FPS at 1080p; the RTX 5070 Ti or RX 9070 XT clears 100 FPS at 1440p. Native 4K above 60 FPS lands on the RTX 5070 Ti and above; the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 push past 100 FPS at 4K. Any modern EMARQUE gaming PC will deliver a smooth Decima experience.
