DICE's large-scale online shooter, released October 10 2025 on the Frostbite engine and developed across Criterion, Motive and Ripple Effect. Battlefield 6 is widely cited as one of the best-optimized PC releases of 2025 — destructible environments and 128-player infantry maps without the frame-pacing penalties typical of the genre.
How demanding is Battlefield 6?
Battlefield 6 runs on the Frostbite engine, with NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, AMD FSR 3.1 (FSR 4 added since launch) and Intel XeSS upscaling. Destruction physics, player simulation and the Frostbite particle system put significant load on the CPU; the engine still hits high frame rates on mid-range hardware thanks to genuinely tight optimisation.
What GPU do you need for Battlefield 6?
Our estimates suggest the RTX 5070 or Radeon RX 9070 XT comfortably clears 100 FPS at 1080p; the RTX 5070 Ti or RX 9070 XT clears 90 FPS at 1440p. Native 4K above 60 FPS lands on the RTX 5070 Ti and above; the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 push past 90 FPS at 4K. For competitive 144 Hz play any current EMARQUE gaming PC delivers comfortably.
