Workloads, specification, drivers, upgrade path and support — what buyers ask before committing to a workstation.

  • What workloads is this workstation actually built for?

    EMARQUE workstations are specified around sustained, all-core, all-day load rather than the short bursts a gaming PC sees. In practice that means:

    • AI development and inference — local LLM work, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning smaller models, and CUDA development where GPU VRAM is the limiting factor.
    • 3D and rendering — Blender, Cinema 4D, SolidWorks, Revit and V-Ray, where render time scales with core count and VRAM ceiling.
    • Video and post — multi-stream 4K and 8K timelines, colour grading, and long exports in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro.
    • Data science and simulation — large in-memory datasets, RAPIDS, and compute that runs for hours rather than minutes.

    If the machine is mainly for games, an EMARQUE gaming PC gives you more frames per ringgit. If you need more unified memory than any single GPU offers, look at NVIDIA DGX Spark.

  • How is this different from a gaming PC with the same GPU?

    The GPU model can be identical; what differs is everything built around keeping it fed and cool for hours at a time.

    • Thermal headroom — cooling and chassis airflow specified for continuous load, not a two-hour session, so clocks hold instead of throttling mid-render.
    • Power delivery — PSU headroom sized for sustained draw with room for a future GPU step-up.
    • Memory capacity over memory speed — professional work is far more often capacity-bound than latency-bound.
    • Validation — every unit is stress-tested under prolonged synthetic load before it ships, because a workstation that fails at hour six is a workstation that failed.

    A gaming PC will run these applications. It will simply be slower and hotter doing them repeatedly.

  • Can I change the specification before it ships?

    Yes. Workstations are built to order, so the sensible time to size the machine is before assembly rather than after.

    • GPU tier — step up for more VRAM where your models, scenes or timelines are memory-bound.
    • System memory — the most common upgrade, and usually the one that removes the real bottleneck.
    • Storage layout — separate fast scratch and project volumes rather than one large drive.
    • Cooling and PSU — headroom for a heavier GPU later.

  • Which GPU drivers does it ship with?

    Every workstation is delivered ready to work — Windows 11, chipset firmware, and GPU drivers installed and updated, with the machine bench-tested under load before dispatch.

    On NVIDIA hardware you can run either NVIDIA Studio drivers, validated against creative applications and favouring stability across long sessions, or Game Ready drivers if the same machine doubles for games. Tell us which you prefer and we will set it before it ships; switching later is straightforward either way.

  • How far can I upgrade it later?

    Workstations are specified with a deliberate upgrade path rather than built to their ceiling on day one.

    • Memory — populated to leave slots free wherever the platform allows.
    • Storage — spare M.2 and drive bays for additional project volumes.
    • GPU — PSU and chassis clearance sized so a heavier card is a swap, not a rebuild.

    Because the machine was built here, we know exactly what is inside it — so when you upgrade, you are not guessing at clearances or wattage.

  • What warranty and support come with it?

    Every EMARQUE-built workstation carries a 3-year warranty on the system as a whole — assembly, configuration and thermals — with manufacturer component warranties on top, running up to 5 to 10 years on some PSUs, memory and storage.

    • 90-day 1-to-1 exchange — if a component fails inside 90 days we swap it directly rather than routing you through a manufacturer RMA queue.
    • Lifetime labour support — on any EMARQUE-built machine, for as long as the parts inside came from us.
    • A real person — you are assigned someone on our team for pre-sales, deployment questions and warranty, not a ticket queue.

    Downtime on a working machine costs more than the part. That is what the exchange window is for.
